NPP Taking Steps to Rebuild and Position for 2028 Election Victory – Justin Kodua
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has outlined its plans to rebuild and prepare for the 2028 elections after a disappointing performance in the 2024 polls.
The NPP recognizes the importance of effective communication in securing victory in the 2028 elections. To address past challenges, the party has made significant amendments to its communication strategy and is prioritizing the election and training of a strong communication team.
This team will be equipped to tackle false allegations and speak positively about the party, ensuring that they are message is conveyed effectively to the public.
According to General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party’s National Council constituted a review committee to assess the party’s performance and identify areas for improvement.
The review committee submitted its report to the National Council, and while the full report will not be made public, the party will work on implementing its findings and recommendations.
The party has decided to elect its presidential candidate first before other internal elections, a first in the party’s history. The NPP is working to ensure a credible voter register for the January 31 elections, with teams visiting regions and constituencies to address issues and resolve disputes.
The party has established an amnesty committee to facilitate reconciliation and unity within the party, particularly in light of the upcoming presidential primaries.
The NPP is committed to rebuilding and reorganizing the party to recapture power in 2028. The party’s leadership is working to address internal challenges and prepare for future elections.
With a focus on unity, discipline, and electoral reform, the NPP is determined to regain its position as a formidable force in Ghanaian politics.
The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong, also accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of harassing and intimidating NPP members.
Frimpong cited instances of alleged victimization, including the targeting of Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, Adu Boahen and others. The NPP claims these actions are detrimental to Ghana’s democracy.
