West Akim MCE urges Public to Invest in Education

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for West Akim, Hon. Paulina Akabila, has called on individuals blessed with resources to heavily invest in and support children’s education, stating that government alone cannot shoulder the responsibility.

Speaking at the commissioning of the ultra-modern Best Brian Academy Basic School, football pitch, changing rooms, computer lab, and Tap water at Akanteng constructed by Mr. Solomon Kofi Tugbenyo, urged the community to take good care of the facilities.

“Education remains the foundation upon which every successful society is built. The government is committed to investing in the future of young people through quality education, but it needs individual support to succeed,” Hon. Akabila said.

She commended the school’s proprietor, Mr. Solomon Kofi Tugbenyo, for his dedication to shaping young minds and providing quality education to the community.

She urged other well-resourced individuals to follow his example by supporting development projects in the Asamankese area and creating jobs for the youth.

The MCE further called on chiefs, opinion leaders, and parents to back Mr. Tugbenyo’s efforts and to actively participate in their children’s academic lives.

She stressed that strong parental involvement and home support are essential for fostering discipline and academic success.

The commissioning drew a massive local crowd, featuring performances and appearances by entertainment figures like Lil Win and many more.
