Asiedu Nketiah urges NDC supporters to remain patient amid concerns over opportunities

Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has appealed to party supporters in the Zabzugu Constituency to remain patient and loyal despite concerns over employment opportunities and delays in accessing political benefits under the current administration.

Speaking during a meeting with constituency executives and party members on Tuesday, May 19, Mr Asiedu Nketiah acknowledged frustrations expressed by supporters but cautioned against actions that could weaken the party while it remains in government.

According to him, opportunities within government cannot be distributed to everyone at the same time, stressing that patience and unity are necessary as the administration works to address the expectations of party faithful.

“You don’t all reap your benefit at the same time because whatever happens, you cannot have opportunities to go around everybody at the same time and in the same year. Some would have to benefit today, and then tomorrow will be your turn,” he stated.

Mr Asiedu Nketiah also drew comparisons with the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), referencing its presidential candidate, Mahmudu Bawumia, while questioning whether dissatisfied supporters would be better off abandoning the NDC for another administration.

He further urged party supporters not to allow temporary frustrations to discourage them from supporting the government, insisting that unity within the party remains essential to fulfilling campaign promises and delivering development.

According to the NDC Chairman, maintaining solidarity among members will be crucial to sustaining the party’s governance agenda and achieving its long-term political objectives.
