“Women admire me, but not sexually” — Majid Michel
Ghanaian actor Majid Michel has disclosed that despite spending more than 26 years in the movie industry and enjoying widespread admiration, he has never experienced female fans making sexual advances towards him.
In an interview, the award-winning actor said women who approach him usually express their admiration for his work rather than showing romantic or sexual interest.
Majid, who spoke fondly about the women in his life, including his mother, sisters and wife, said his upbringing influenced the respect and appreciation he has for women.
“I love girls above all things. I love women, and of course, the first woman you will always fall in love with is your mother. I have sisters, and I know they are very intelligent,” he said.
He also praised his wife, explaining that her domestic support reminds him of the women he grew up with.
“I do nothing; they cook, wash and everything. Then I met my wife, and she’s exactly like the women I grew up with. She does all the chores, and that makes me feel like I’m the king,” he shared.
The actor further revealed that some female admirers are initially hesitant to approach him because of his personality, but those who eventually do are usually respectful.
“The women who threw themselves at me? It is very funny. Some people have women throwing themselves at them, but that has never been my experience. Women do not approach me like that. They are mostly afraid of me unless I decide to be nice,” he stated.
He added that his encounters with female fans have largely been limited to compliments and expressions of admiration.
“They come to me respectfully, not sexually. They say, ‘Oh, I admire you a lot, and I am a big fan,’ and that is it,” he noted.
Majid further stressed that he has never had a female admirer visit his hotel room during filming throughout his lengthy acting career.
“Throughout my over 26 years in this industry, I have never had any woman visit me in a hotel room while I was filming or anything like that. It has never gone beyond fans’ admiration,” he added.
His revelation offers a different perspective on celebrity-fan relationships, particularly for male actors who often attract considerable attention from admirers.
