NDC govt delivers relief to drivers in first year: C-DAG gives President Mahama 90%

The Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana (C-DAG) has praised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration led by President John Dramani Mahama for bringing significant relief and progress to drivers across the country within its first year in office.

Speaking at a press conference, Paa Willie, President of C-DAG, highlighted the challenges drivers faced under the previous government, including poor road infrastructure, rising fuel prices, high costs of spare parts, and the depreciation of the Ghana cedi.

However, he noted that the NDC government has made remarkable strides in addressing these issues, citing the stabilization of fuel prices, the appreciation of the Ghana cedi, and massive road construction and rehabilitation projects across the country.

“C-DAG commends the effective leadership and competent appointees of the NDC government, including the Minister of Finance, Hon. Ato Forson, and the CEO of the Ghana Gold Board, Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, for restoring confidence in the economic direction of the nation,” Paa Willie said.

Aminu Yussifu, General Secretary of C-DAG, rated the NDC government’s performance at 90% and urged President Mahama to support the association with adequate vehicles to strengthen and modernize the public transport sector.

The association expressed its appreciation to President Mahama for making roads safe for drivers and improving the livelihoods of Ghanaians, comparing the current administration favorably to the previous NPP government.

-Fuel Price Stability and Reduction: Significant decreases and stability in fuel prices
– Cedi Stability and Economic Confidence: Stabilization of the dollar and appreciation of the Ghana cedi
– Massive Road Construction and Rehabilitation: Numerous roads across the country being fixed

The wives of the drivers also expressed their appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama and the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, stating that they have made roads safer for drivers and livelihoods easier for Ghanaians, particularly when compared to the previous NPP government.
