“This should be your last warning” — Adom Kyei-Duah fires at NPP media

Founder and General Overseer of the Believers Worship Centre, Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, has issued a strong warning to media outlets he believes are aligned with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), accusing them of persistently ridiculing him and misrepresenting his political stance.

While preaching in church, the outspoken preacher expressed disappointment over what he described as unfair attacks following the recent visit of Ghana’s Sports Minister to his church ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to Adom Kyei-Duah, some commentators have wrongly portrayed him as a supporter of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) because of the minister’s visit, a narrative he insists is false.

He said, “It looks like some NPP stations are fond of making a mockery of me. This should be your last warning because you are no more NPP or NDC than I am. If you look at the Philadelphia Movement, you will see both NPP and NDC members here.”

The cleric stressed that he does not belong to any political party and urged media personalities to engage in responsible political discourse rather than resorting to personal attacks.

“If you want to talk about politics, refrain from partisan politics and speak like a good citizen. I am a good citizen,” he added.

He also questioned comments suggesting that national issues, including the performance of the Black Stars, should be viewed through a political lens.

“Recently, I was watching a football match, and because you claim I am NPP and the NDC is in power, the Black Stars should lose their matches? What the hell is that? What is wrong with us?” he queried.

Adom Kyei-Duah further maintained that he deserves the same respect accorded to other religious leaders in the country, regardless of political affiliations or public perceptions.

He stated, “I want you to give me the maximum respect that is due me. Recently, when a member of the NDC insulted the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, you saw the Chief of Staff apologising on her behalf.”

The preacher concluded by reiterating that he remains an independent-minded Ghanaian who takes instructions from no political party, while urging critics to stop dragging his name into partisan battles.

His remarks come amid growing discussions about the relationship between religious leaders and politics, with Adom Kyei-Duah insisting that his ministry welcomes people from all political backgrounds and should not be labelled along party lines.
