Ibrahim Mahama supports Ghanaian Xenophobia Survivor with Cement Depot business

Business mogul Ibrahim Mahama has pledged to establish a cement distribution and construction hardware depot for Emmanuel Asamoah, a Ghanaian who recently returned from South Africa after allegedly experiencing xenophobic attacks.

The gesture follows earlier assurances by Ibrahim Mahama to Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs of his commitment to supporting Ghanaians affected by xenophobia in South Africa.

During a meeting held at his office and attended by Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Ibrahim Mahama encouraged Ghanaians living in South Africa to consider returning home to contribute to national development. He noted that his company is ready to provide employment opportunities for returnees based on their skills and experience.

He further advised Ghanaians facing challenges abroad to return home to start businesses or pursue vocational training, pledging his support to help them rebuild their lives.

As part of his support, Ibrahim Mahama also presented GH¢200,000 to Emmanuel Asamoah to enable him to take a one-month break and reunite with his family before relocating to Accra to commence operations.

Mr. Asamoah, who previously ran a nail and hairdressing business in South Africa, has now decided to venture into the hardware and construction supply industry upon his return to Ghana.

Ibrahim Mahama praised Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa for his dedication to the welfare of Ghanaian nationals in the country.

He also urged Asamoah to remain strong, disciplined, and focused as he begins a new phase of his life and entrepreneurial journey.
