Following the death of his mother, Ghanaian Gospel music sensation Cwesi Oteng has requested prayers from his fans.
Breaking the news, Twitter the ‘Mercy’ hitmaker asked his patrons on social media,
“I’m sorry to be a bearer of sad news, but my mother passed away yesternight August 17 2022 from complications following a short illness. Please bear our family in your prayers and best wishes”

According to the musician’s Instagram post, his mother, Margaret Esi Nketiah, died on the night of Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
He disclosed it was “from complications following a short illness” which he did not disclose.
Music executive Kaywa, media personality Andy Dosty, and Cece Twum were among those who left condolences under the post.
