A woman identified as Akua, a mother of two, is demanding compensation from an elder of the Church of Pentecost at Fumso, Elder Isaac, over a dispute arising from their alleged romantic relationship.

Sharing her story on Oyerepa Afutuo on April 15, 2026, Akua, who claims she is HIV positive, disclosed that she met Isaac in the course of work at a company where he served as her manager on October 19, 2025, at New Edubiase.

According to her, she disclosed her HIV status during their first meeting and informed him that she was on medication. However, she alleges that Isaac insisted on pursuing a relationship with her and promised marriage.

She further claimed that Isaac told her he had been single and had not been involved in any sexual relationship for two years prior to their meeting. Based on those assurances, she said she agreed to the relationship.

“I told him I had HIV, but he said he still wanted me. For the first two months, he did not use protection. I even told the hospital staff that I had found a man who was having unprotected sex with me, and they asked me to bring him. But he refused to go with me to the hospital for medication,” she alleged.

Akua added that about a year into the relationship, Isaac informed her he was no longer interested because of her health condition. She also claimed she later discovered that Isaac had a pregnant partner who was living with him, although they stayed apart due to work commitments.

She alleged that after reporting the matter to Isaac’s senior pastor at Fumso, she received GH¢1,550, leaving an outstanding balance of GH¢2,950.

Akua also claimed she warned Isaac’s pregnant partner about his alleged conduct, stating that he had engaged in unprotected intercourse with her despite knowing her HIV status.

“I also told the woman who is pregnant for him not to sleep with him because I am HIV positive. Later, he told me he had gone for a test and was negative,” she said.

However, Isaac has denied the allegations. He insisted that Akua did not disclose her HIV status at the beginning of their relationship but informed him about two weeks after they had already become intimate.

“It is not true that she told me from the beginning that she had HIV. We had already been together for more than two weeks before she told me, and she later apologised,” he said.

He also denied owing her any additional money, stating that the only amount mentioned when the case was first reported to the pastor was GH¢1,550, which he has already paid.

“After she reported me to the pastor, the amount she mentioned was GH¢1,550, and I paid it. Now she is demanding extra money,” he added.

Isaac further stated that he has undergone two HIV tests, both of which returned negative results, and said he intends to move on with his pregnant partner.
