Tiffany reveals why she quietly left Fuse ODG’s record label

Ghanaian Afropop musician Tiffany Owusu, popularly known as Tiffany, has dismissed reports of a fallout with her former record label boss Nana Richard Abiona, better known as Fuse ODG, years after their professional relationship ended.

Tiffany, who was once signed to Fuse ODG’s Off Da Ground Records, revealed that their separation was not caused by conflict or disagreements, insisting that both parties simply reached a point where they needed to pursue different paths.

Speaking in an interview, the “Fake London Boy” hitmaker said she still maintains a cordial relationship with Fuse ODG and has no personal issues with him. She explained that throughout their time working together, they never had any serious disagreements.

“I don’t have any bad blood with him. I don’t have a problem with anybody. Maybe people have problems with me, and I don’t know. I think the last time I saw him, I saw him at the airport, and we were cool. There’s no problem at all. Fuse and I never had a problem. He never exchanged words or anything. I felt that it was a journey. We did good songs together, and at a point in time, I felt that I wanted to back down, and they also felt that they wanted to move ahead, so I stepped down quietly. There’s no bad blood or anything.”

Fuse ODG, announced Tiffany’s signing to Off Da Ground Records in 2014, at a time when both artistes were among the prominent names promoting Ghana’s Afropop and Azonto-inspired sound internationally.

During their partnership, the two artistes worked together on songs including “Azonto” and “Spanner” before Tiffany exited the label in 2016. Her departure later fueled speculation among some fans about possible tension between the two musicians.

However, Tiffany’s latest comments suggest the split was a mutual career decision rather than a personal dispute. After taking a long break from music, she has returned to the industry with new releases, including “Wura” and “Money,” as she continues to rebuild her presence on the Ghanaian music scene.
