“End your marriage or fix it; you’re too loud on your pulpit” — Ogyaba tells Obinim

Ghanaian preacher Prophet Ogyaba, has publicly taken aim at his colleague, Bishop Daniel Obinim, founder of International God’s Way Church, over the ongoing controversy surrounding his marriage to Florence Obinim.

Speaking during a live TikTok session, Prophet Ogyaba criticised what he described as Bishop Obinim’s increasing openness on the pulpit regarding his marital challenges. His remarks come in the wake of renewed public attention on Obinim’s marriage and past allegations of infidelity, which have dominated social media discussions in recent days.

According to Ogyaba, he had previously restrained himself from responding when Obinim allegedly spoke against him during his own widely publicised controversy involving accusations of infidelity.

“You are very loud on your pulpit. Have you seen how the world operates? My issue was not even about marriage, but yours is, and yet you have brought your marital issues onto your pulpit,” he said.

He further claimed that he had initially allowed others close to him to react on his behalf but chose restraint, insisting that time would eventually expose contradictions.

“One of my chiefs was angry and wanted to respond to you, but I told him to stop. I told them your time would come. Now you have openly brought these issues out yourself and made yourself a subject of public ridicule,” he added.

Prophet Ogyaba also advised Bishop Daniel Obinim to handle his marriage with maturity, suggesting that if he no longer wishes to remain with his wife, Florence Obinim, he should end the union respectfully rather than allowing public tension to escalate.

“If you think you are no longer interested in the woman, take her back to her family. Do what is right as a husband and return her respectfully,” he said.

He further warned against what he described as spiritual authority being used as cover for emotional or marital distress.

“Do not hide under the influence of anointing and allow her to suffer or push her into distress,” he stated.

While some users have supported Prophet Ogyaba’s call for accountability in marriage, others argue that the public exchanges between clergy members are escalating tensions unnecessarily and drawing private matters into national discourse.
