During a subsequent operation, troops recovered weapons and ammunition from a suspect who attempted to hide in a mosque while fleeing.
“In pursuit, the military retrieved from an escapee who sought refuge in a mosque a G3 automatic rifle, two loaded magazines of 20 rounds each, and an additional 176 rounds of ammunition,” the statement added.
The military further disclosed that ten suspects have been arrested and are currently assisting with investigations.
