Dancehall Artiste, Stonebwoy has reacted to claims that he was behind the cancellation of Shatta Wale’s show at the TF Hotels at the University of Ghana.

It will be remembered that Shatta Wale was billed to perform at the TF hostel in the University of Ghana.

However, on the day of the event, there were reports that the performance was cancelled because of an “Order from above”.

Shatta Wale’s camp blamed Stonebwoy for influencing the decision with his manager confirming the same.

But the Dean of Students for the University of Ghana, Prof Rosina Kyerematen explaining the facts of the matter said the artiste night was cancelled because the leadership of the hall did not seek permission to organize an artiste night.

Their permission was given for a Karaoke night and they could not allow an artiste night since they did not make the needed security arrangements and did not receive clearance from the school’s authorities.

Reacting to claims that he had something to do with the cancellation, Stonebwoy indicated that the claims he called for the event to be cancelled were ridiculous.

To him, after the Dean’s explanation, those who blamed him owe him an apology for falsely accusing him of what he had no knowledge of.

“That was ridiculous to hear because it is just like waking up in the morning to be accused strongly of extra powers. I have power, I still exist in all dimensions but I cannot abuse…Even if I have such powers I cannot abuse it.

I nothing at all to do with it so I’m surprised where the accusations were coming from. I believe it is normal with a brother like him to always find a way to make me look very powerful. I only went to perform at my event and that is all I can remember. I’m not an event organizer, I have zero. I think the Dean respectfully came out to explains and we must amplify that some more.

This is where the truth comes into being that those who…that is why I hate to explain because there are people who didn’t believe it anyway and even after the Dean has come to speak on the truth of the matter, you find out that those who disbelieved and cast me and all of that are refusing to render apology. That is their mentality
