In a remarkable turn of events, renowned Ghanaian gospel singer and spiritual leader, Prophetess Elizabeth Dankwa, popularly known as Prophetess Dankwah, has released a soul-stirring new single titled ‘Ebesesa’ just days after her release from police custody.
The release, which took place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, follows a press briefing that addressed her recent legal ordeal involving a high-profile murder allegation. Though she was discharged from police cells, the experience has left a profound mark on the gospel minister’s life, one that she has now translated into music.
‘Ebesesa’, which means “It Will Change” in Twi, tells a deeply emotional story of hope, endurance, and divine intervention. The song chronicles Prophetess Dankwah’s painful past, including being abandoned in the bush by her unknown mother as a child, and the many struggles she faced growing up. Despite these challenges, her resilience and faith in God propelled her to rise above adversity, eventually becoming a well-respected spiritual leader and gospel artist.
Speaking at the press event, Prophetess Dankwah, who also serves as the founder and leader of King Solomon Universal Chapel, described the song as a testimony to God’s unwavering grace in her life.
She said, “This is more than just a song, it’s my life story. From rejection and betrayal to breakthrough and divine favour, ‘Ebesesa’ is a declaration that no situation is permanent. With God, everything can change.”
The song is expected to make trends, especially given her close ties to notable figures, including Ghana’s First Lady, Lordina Mahama.
The single is already available on all major digital streaming platforms and is gaining traction among fans for its raw emotion, spiritual message, and powerful vocals.
