Ghanaian rapper Hansford Brefo, popularly known as Oseikrom Sikani, has refuted claims that he avoids paying dancers to help promote his songs, insisting his decision to create his own dance routines was influenced by repeated disappointments from choreographers.

The musician explained that, contrary to public perception, he previously approached several dancers and was prepared to pay them to develop dance challenges for his music. According to him, many accepted the offer but failed to deliver on their promises.

“Bossu, let me tell you this. When I release music, I contact dancers, but they don’t mind me. They are fun-foolers; they will agree to do it and still not do it,” he stated.

Oseikrom Sikani singled out celebrated Ghanaian choreographer Laud Anoo Konadu, widely known as DanceGod Lloyd, claiming he personally reached out to him for support but never received the expected response despite offering financial compensation.

“DanceGod, I can contact him and beg him, but he ignores me afterwards. I even offered payment, but still,” he revealed.

The rapper said those experiences convinced him to stop depending on choreographers and instead handle the dance promotion of his songs himself.

“So when I noticed that, I stopped contacting them. I do it myself; I don’t even force it. We have forced so many things that didn’t work out, so I have stopped,” he said.

His remarks come amid ongoing discussions on social media, where some critics have suggested that he creates dance routines for his own songs simply because he is unwilling to spend money on professional dancers. Oseikrom Sikani, however, maintains that his decision is based on experience rather than cost, saying he now prefers to rely on himself instead of waiting on others.
