Residents of Nsenoa Electoral Area in the Offinso North Constituency are expressing deep disappointment and frustration with District Chief Executive Hon. Caesar Ofosu Acheampong and Assemblyman Hon. Abugri Charles over what they perceive as blatant neglect of their area’s development.
They point to deplorable school infrastructure in communities such as Amponsahkrom, Apenten, and Nsenoa, where children are forced to learn under trees due to a lack of classrooms.
The absence of a Junior High School in Apenten means students must trek over eight miles to Asempaneye, a journey they describe as “stressful” and “exhausting.”
“We’ve given you our votes, but where is the development?” residents asked, citing unfulfilled promises and a perceived focus on personal interests over community needs.
They are pleading with government officials to deliver on their promises and provide a JHS in Apenten, which they believe is crucial for the area’s growth.
The residents warned that if their concerns are not addressed, they may withdraw their electoral support in future polls.
“It’s time for you to prioritize our needs,” they cautioned Hon. Acheampong and Hon. Charles.
They emphasized that the area’s development hinges on the actions of the DCE and Assemblyman, holding them accountable for the current state of affairs.
“Our lack of development depends on Hon. Caesar Ofosu Acheampong and the MCE,” they stressed, urging the officials to act swiftly to address their concerns.
The residents added that they have remained quiet for too long, but now it is time to take action. “Every politician knows how citizens give them punishment, and our thoughts remain silent no more,” they warned.
“Silence is golden, but we’ve used it for too long. It’s time for change,” they added, hinting at a possible electoral reckoning if their demands are not met.
