Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has called on Ghana’s youth to adopt the principles of servant leadership, democratic discipline, and moral integrity exemplified by the late President Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
Delivering his remarks as Chairman of the 13th J.E.A. Mills Commemorative Lecture, Mr. Debrah paid tribute to the former president, describing him as calm, full of strength, ethical leadership, and patriotic humility.
He encouraged young people to focus on quiet preparation and serving with integrity rather than seeking power and titles. “Leadership is not a loud ambition; it is a quiet preparation. Be ready to serve with integrity, not just to lead with titles,” he emphasised.
The Chief of Staff noted that President Mills played a significant role in shaping Ghana’s Fourth Republic through his commitment to peace and truth.
He urged the youth to draw inspiration from President Mills’ legacy and work towards democratic renewal, national unity, and transformational leadership.
Debrah concluded by emphasising the need for the younger generation to rise above partisanship and prioritise national purpose, guided by President Mills’ legacy of conscience, honesty, and humanity.
