Adina Thembi, a Lynx Entertainment signee, says there is nothing wrong with male artiste managers having intimacy with their female artists.
“There is nothing wrong as long as the artiste is not underage. If she is mature enough and the two of them understand that this is what they are doing and can separate that from their work and make sure they are successful then that’s fine”. Adina Thembi told Spice FM in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com when confronted with the question of artiste Managers and female artists’ sexual relationship
As per Adina, having intimate intercourse with your manager is not uncommon on the job, but the most important thing is for both managers and their female artists to remain professional and do what is expected of them in order to grow their brands.
“If you are a professional and you know this is your job description, knowing that day in and day out this is what you supposed to do for the artiste, the artiste also understands that she is supposed to do music then that’s fine. That is how it should work so any extra thing is extra. They (sexual relationships) are all extra-curricular activities” Adina stressed
She however remarked that it is not robotic that if a female artist wants to be managed by a male, there must be a sexual relationship.
