Actor cum football manager Samuel Nana Yaw Dabo has entreated local football managers to nature and groom players very well before they leave them to go abroad.
A lot of footballers in Ghana whether groomed well or not do travel abroad for justifiers and many return home because their levels of play are not up to standard.
It is for this reason Yaw Dabo has indicated that the managers of the players should not allow them to travel abroad when the players are not mature in the game.
The diminutive actor who has established a football academy in an interview with Somtymer Otu Acheampong on Oyerepa FM’s Today’s Sports pointed out that, he will not allow any of his players to travel abroad if the player is not well groomed.
He said managers should not let the local players think that they are only playing to travel abroad. Rather, the managers should psyche them to understand that, they need to build up very well in order not to return home when they go abroad.
“Don’t let your player think he’s playing to travel abroad. For my player, you need time to groom very well before you travel abroad,” Dabo declared on the show.
He explained that football is about giving a player enough time to build up. Football is about psyching a player as well as providing the needed support and training to grow up.
