The youth of Gomoa Dahom in the Gomoa Central District have expressed deep frustration over the community’s poor mobile network system, which they say is crippling businesses and even straining personal relationships.
Gomoa Dahom, a farming community with a population of over 1,000, continues to grapple with unreliable network connectivity and persistent water shortages.
In an interview with Oyerepa News Reporter, Nana Ansah, residents lamented that network interruptions have become a major obstacle to their daily activities. Some revealed that they are often forced to climb storey buildings and trees before gaining access to stable signals.
According to the youth, the challenge has also taken a toll on their personal lives. They noted that many relationships are collapsing because they cannot regularly communicate with their partners, especially those living in Accra and other parts of the country.
Beyond connectivity, residents also raised concerns about the water crisis in the community. They explained that accessing clean water requires long treks to distant locations, a situation that poses health and livelihood risks.
The youth are therefore appealing to the government and telecommunication operators to urgently intervene by improving network coverage in the area and addressing the water shortage.
