The WillingWay Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre, a leading advocate for mental health and addiction recovery, has been named Best Holistic and Mental Health Advocacy NGO of the Year at the 2nd edition of the Ashanti Business Merit Awards (ABMA) and Conference Night.
The event, held at the Lancaster Hotel in Kumasi, brought together distinguished businesses and institutions from across the Ashanti Region to celebrate excellence and innovation.
Chief Executive Officer of WillingWay, Lydia Abena Manu Adofo, received the award with gratitude, acknowledging the recognition of her tireless efforts in the mental health sector. She attributed her two decades of dedicated service to divine strength and the generosity of philanthropists who have supported the centre’s mission.
Mr. Emmanuel Boateng of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce commended Mrs. Manu Adofo for her steadfast commitment to the fight against drug addiction and alcoholism, particularly among the youth. He lauded her contributions to raising mental health awareness and providing holistic care for individuals in recovery.
The award underscores WillingWay’s unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional services while advocating for mental health across Ghana. The recognition, organisers say, is expected to further inspire the centre to continue its crucial work of empowering individuals to overcome addiction and mental health challenges.
