Following the recent fire outbreak at Adum Blue Light, Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene has announced plans to establish vehicular routes to help prevent similar incidents in the adjoining Adum PZ area, which remained unaffected by the blaze.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Unit of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) on Sunday, March 23, 2025, the initiative was described as a strategic move to improve accessibility and reduce frequent fire outbreaks caused by human activities.
The intervention is expected to enhance safety measures in the bustling commercial hub and mitigate future fire-related disasters.
“This is scheduled to commence on Monday, March 24, 2025.”
“To ensure a smooth implementation of this initiative, security personnel will be deployed,” the statement noted.
“The public is duly notified and cooperation from all stakeholders will be appreciated.”
On Facebook, Dr Amoakohene wrote, “Tomorrow is for action. Let’s save our city.”
