Lawyer Blay Nyameke Armah, the Member of Parliament for Sekondi, has vowed to take swift and decisive action against individuals involved in the recent cocaine allegations that have linked his name to the controversial drug saga.
In a statement during an interview with Kwesi Parker Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, the Sekondi MP expressed his intention to report the allegations to the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, emphasizing that the claims tarnish not only his reputation but also the image of Parliament as a whole.
“I will report the cocaine allegations against me to the Speaker of Parliament to address that issue because the person who made the allegation and the host never knew I am the MP now. Instead of them coming out to retract and apologize, they are sitting comfortably in their homes,” He said.
The Sekondi MP has strongly refuted any involvement in the alleged cocaine-related activities, reiterating his innocence and the need for accountability regarding such serious accusations.
Lawyer Blay’s resolve to take the matter up with the Speaker highlights the gravity of the situation, as he seeks to protect his personal integrity and that of the legislature.
The MP has also expressed frustration that no retraction or apology has been issued by those who made the allegations.
The controversial claims, made by Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, the Member of Parliament for Assin South, have caused public uproar, with calls for an investigation into the matter.
As the situation unfolds, Blay Nyameke Armah is determined to clear his name and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
