Afia Schwarzenegger, a well-known Ghanaian media figure and comedian, has filed a lawsuit against lawyer Maurice Ampaw.
Afia Schwarzenegger, real name Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, is asking for Ghc1,000,000 in general penalties for defamation from the attorney in a summons.
She is also requesting a lifelong injunction to prevent the defendant from telling, saying, or discussing anything about her on any medium of communication, including print, radio, electronic, and social media.
In the writ of summons, the defendant has to pay costs, including legal fees.
Since last year, Afia Schwarzenegger and Lawyer Maurice Ampaw have been at odds over the former’s legal battle with Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The court fight began when Afia Schwarzenneger claimed to have had an intimate relationship with Chairman Wontumi and made other charges against him.
