The Concerned Youth of Ayawaso Central Municipality has petitioned President John Dramani Mahama to appoint Harry Otu Hesse as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ayawaso Central.
This move comes after Otu Hesse’s successful leadership as constituency chairman, which led the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to break a 28-year parliamentary jinx in the area.
At a press briefing, Kudor Emmanuel, Pig Farm Branch Secretary, says Otu Hesse’s track record of service, dedication, and electoral success makes him the ideal candidate for the position.
His experience as a two-term Assemblyman for Pig Farm Electoral Area and current role as constituency chairman demonstrate his deep understanding of local governance.
Dauda Mensah, Ward Youth Organizer, emphasized that President Mahama should reward hardworking NDC members like Otu Hesse, who played a crucial role in the party’s success during the 2024 elections.
Hajia Zamira, a two-term former Constituency Deputy Women’s Organizer, believes that appointing Otu Hesse would solidify NDC’s gains in the municipality and entrench the party’s dominance.
