Assemblymember for Kumawu Dadease in the Sekyere Kumawu District of Ashanti Mr. Kofi Adade popularly known as Al Jazeera has said, no one should contest for the position of the Unit Committee member if the person cannot dedicate himself to the post.
According to him, being a unit committee member needs a lot of loyalty since so salary is involved.
He believes, the progress of every community in Ghana largely depends on the hard work of its unit committee, as a result, if members are reluctant to work, the community will see no progress.
As per him, if any of his unit committee members is not ready to dedicate him or herself to the work, they dare not contest for the position again.
The workaholic assembly member was speaking during the distribution of bicycles to each of the 5 unit Committee members to facilitate their work.
He however charged them to work tirelessly for the development of Kumawu Dadease and its environs.
