Communications team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Francis Addo has stated that Alan Kyeremanteng has been treated with disdain in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
This comes after Alan Kyeremanten’s resignation earlier yesterday to contest as an Independent Presidential candidate in the upcoming 2024 elections.
There has been backlash from the rank and file of the NPP after this shocking announcement from the camp of the former.
The NDC Communications team member speaking in a panel discussion on Oyerepa Breakfast Show Tuesday, expressed his dissatisfaction with the treatment meted out to Alan Kyeremanten in his own party after all the sacrifices he made in his capacity.
“I feel Alan Kyeremanten has not been treated fairly in the NPP, look at how his own party has treated him…… This is a big blow for the NPP as a party,” he said.
However, Mr Addo added that this move by Alan Kyeremanten will not hinder the NDC from winning the 2024 elections.
“Alan is no new person to us NDC because he has been a part of the Akufo-Addo-led administration which we all know and he can not disassociate himself from the mess created by President Akufo-Addo ” he stated.
