The YAFO Institute is set to host the Liberty Sphere 2026, its flagship initiative aimed at empowering the next generation of policy leaders and championing freedom in Ghana.

The three-day programme, scheduled for September 23 to 25, 2026, at the Anagkazo Campus, Mampong-Aburi, will bring together young changemakers, university students, journalists, civil society activists, entrepreneurs, policy advocates and community leaders.

The programme will feature the Liberty Sphere Policy Grounds Training from September 23 to 24, culminating in the Liberty Sphere Conference 2026 on September 25.

According to the organisers, the Policy Grounds Training is designed to equip selected young participants with the knowledge, analytical skills and practical tools needed to engage effectively in public policy.

Participants will go through interactive lectures, discussions and practical sessions on free market economics, property rights, building lasting businesses, public policy fundamentals, welfarism, research for policy change and fundraising.

They will also interact with experienced practitioners and develop their capacity to contribute to policy conversations in their communities.

The training will feature prominent speakers including Prof. Enoch Opoku Antwi (Ghana), Prof. Ken Schoolland (USA), Dr. Albert Kobina Mensah (Ghana), Dr. Eamonn Butler (UK), Mr. Ebenezer Tackie Oblie (Ghana), Li Schoolland (USA) and Nathaniel Dwamena (Ghana).

As part of the event, the Institute will commemorate the 250th anniversary of Adam Smith’s landmark work, “The Wealth of Nations,” under the theme: “The Wealth of Nations at 250: Freedom, Enterprise and the Future of Prosperity.”

A key highlight of the training will be the Battlegrounds Policy Pitch, where participants will apply what they have learned to contemporary policy issues and present practical policy solutions.
