The Member of Parliament (MP) for Oforikrom Constituency, Dr Emmanuel Marfo, has issued a stern warning to Kennedy Agyapong, a flagbearer hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), urging him to exercise caution when speaking about the party and its executives.
For over five months, Kennedy has relentlessly and vehemently criticized the Nana Addo and Bawumia-led government for their poor administration which has resulted in a high cost of living in Ghana.
Recently, he even threatened to confront (Showdown) President Akufo-Addo and his vice, Dr Bawumia, due to some election-related chaos that affected his polling agent.
During an interview on Oyerepa Breakfast Time on Monday, the Oforikrom Lawmaker acknowledged Kennedy Agyapong’s active involvement in his campaign. However, he emphasized the importance of staying within one’s boundaries and not crossing any lines.
Dr Marfo believes that Kennedy’s constant criticism undermines the NPP and it would be wise for him not to go overboard.
“You’re [Kennedy Agyapong] is undermining the party and the whole government…. When we bring the campaign to that level we’re destroying the image of the political class.” The legislator said.
