Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Asunafo North Constituency of Ahafo Region say the decision by the party’s hierarchies pertaining to parliamentary leadership reshuffle is a major tool to assist the party clinch victory come 2024 , therefore they welcomed the decision.
The Asunafo North Constituency NDC Secretary ,Joseph Akparibo explained to Oyerepa Online’s Sulley Dramani at Goaso that there is no way current leaders of the party headed by Johnson Asiedu Nketiah will embark on any move to affect the party’s fortunes in the next general elections , therefore members nationwide must accept the reshuffle in good faith.
According to him , the likes of Haruna Iddrisu and others who have been told to step aside have done extremely well for the party but per the wisdom and assessment of the hierarchies of the party, new faces wh9o are equally competent must take the mantle to help NDC battle NPP well during parliamentary business.
He stated , NDC members in Asunafo North Constituency are in full support of the decision since it will help the party secure a win in the next elections.
Meanwhile, the Constituency Organizer , Bawa Mohammed also passionately appealed to members of the party who are unhappy with the decision to calm down because the current elected leaders at the national level have vowed to institute measures to match NPP boot for boot from now to 2024 elections.
He mentioned , NDC will only win the next elections if members support the new leaders in all the decisions just like the reshuffle at Parliament.
