Ashanti Regional NDC Communication Director, Abass Nurudeen says, the New Patriotic Party has not constructed a single road in the region as they have indicated.
The New Patriotic Party’s administration led by President Akufo-Addo has received a lot of criticism from Ashanti voters concerning the lack of infrastructural development. The Asantes believed they voted massively for NPP both in 2016 and 2020 and therefore deserve great development.
The NPP on the other hand has said it has constructed a lot of roads in the region, specifically in Kumasi therefore needs commendation or patience to complete some other projects.
But, Abass Nurudeen believes that the Akufo-Addo-led government has not constructed any road in Kumasi.
As per him, those roads the NPP claims to have constructed are asphaltic overlays and not road construction.
According to him, the roads have been there before Nana Addo assumed office so what the NPP has done is asphalt overlays.
“NPP hasn’t constructed any road in Kumasi, what they did was asphalt overlay and not road construction.” Abass emphatically stated.
