The NDC’s National Youth Organiser, George Opare Addo popularly known as Pablo, has stated that his party has carried out various development initiatives in Ashanti Region.
The region is the stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and is expected to build up a lot of developmental projects for the people but the NDC National Youth Organiser has argued that the party has not done enough for the people.
Speaking on Oyerepa Breakfast Show on Monday, August 22, 2022, George Opare Addo remarked that, while the Ashanti region does not produce many votes for the NDC, the party’s leadership has developed a number of significant projects in the area.
He claimed that the Ashanti Region is the incumbent government’s “votes bank,” but it has refused to develop the region as promised.
“What has the NPP done to help Asanteman?”
NDC has done everything significant for Ashanti regarding development; sadly, Asantemen do not vote for NDC.”He stated.
George Opare Addo noted that the New Kejetia Market, the Kumasi International Airport, and many road infrastructures are projects t the NDC has produced for Asanteman.
According to him, the NPP has taken Asanteman for granted since they assumed. He said the NPP believes that the people will vote for them even if they do not develop the region.
However, he urged people in the region to critically examine the NPP’s performance before casting a vote for the party.
