Director of JA films, Mr. Jones Agyemang has revealed the reason behind the Nigerian movie industry making efficient use of digital platforms in movie production.
According to him, when Nigerians started using the digital platform in promoting their movies, the Ghanaian movie producers were thinking about CD.
The producer disclosed on Oyerepa TV’s “Cinifie” show that even some of the Ghanaians who had the opportunity to study digitalization took advantage and started buying the movies from producers to put them on their own platforms.
Mr. Agyemang however accused the media in the country of not helping the movie industry.
He started on the show that what is needed in the movies industry is investors but the saddest side of it is that they are not interested in investing in Ghanaian movies.
“We can perform like Hollywood, Nollywood, and others if we get the necessary equipment”. He stated.
Mr. Jones is optimistic that when Ghanaians begin to promote the local movies, the industry will revive.
