A tragic incident occurred in Kasoa Kumbe near Opeikuma in the Awutu Senya East Municipality, where a toddler was found burnt after being abandoned by an unidentified mother behind a school building.
Reports indicate that a concerned resident discovered a black polythene bag behind the school building and initially mistook it for rubbish.
The individual then took the wrapped polythene bag to the refuse dump, where it was unknowingly set on fire.
Eyewitness Alhassan Abdul Razak recounted the moment they realized the horrifying truth as the bag began to burn.
Despite their efforts to intervene, it was too late to save the child.
Abdul Alhassan Razak suspects that the mother responsible for this heinous act may not be a resident of the community.
