Majority leader of parliament, Mr Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has assured that, the legislature will not let Ghanaians down in the cause of enacting a law that will strengthen the principles and values of the nation.
He made the declaration at presser on Tuesday in response to the public backlash of the majority in parliament for not championing the passage of the Anti-LGBTQ Bill.
According to him, no member of parliament (MP) will stand against the principles of the Anti-LGBTQI bill and its passage.
“The issues contained in this bill are matters that all of us are concerned about and I’m not sure any MP would be against this bill.” The Suame MP stated.
The lawmaker expressed much gratitude to Ghanaians towards their full concern towards the push for the passage of the Anti-LGBTQI bill.
He however called on the citizens to push parliament to pass other bills before the house such asked, the spausal bill right after passing the Anti-LGBTQI+ bill.
