The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on the Speaker of Parliament and the Minority in Parliament to ensure the Electoral Commission (EC) addresses discrepancies in the new voter register.
National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia emphasized the need for accuracy, citing numerous mistakes in the register.
Asiedu Nketia addressed the media after the NDC’s successful “Enough is Enough” demonstration, reaffirming the party’s commitment to peace and transparency in the upcoming elections.
The NDC’s concerns center around the EC’s handling of the voter register, which they believe could compromise the integrity of the elections. By involving Parliament, the NDC seeks to ensure the EC takes corrective action and maintains peace and tranquility in the electoral process.
The NDC’s move follows similar protests and petitions presented to Parliament and EC highlighting the party’s ongoing efforts to promote transparency and accountability in Ghana’s electoral process.
