In a heartwarming initiative, Modara Jadore Cosmetics, led by CEO Fatima Zarah, has launched a soap-making training program for vulnerable women at the Gushegu witches’ camp in the Northern Region.
The camp, home to nearly 100 women falsely accused of witchcraft, has long been plagued by poverty, stigma, and ostracism.
The training aims to equip these women with skills to produce soaps for sale, enabling them to achieve financial independence and ease their struggles.
Fatima Zarah emphasized that many women in the camp are victims of false accusations stemming from superstition and misconceptions.
Zarah appealed for kindness and dignity in the treatment of the elderly, highlighting the importance of compassion and understanding.
She noted that the world is a transitional place, and we should treat others with the same kindness we would wish for ourselves in the future.
This initiative marks a crucial step towards empowering these women and fostering their reintegration into society.
By providing them with a means to earn a living, Modara Jadore Cosmetics is helping to break the cycle of poverty and stigma that has defined their lives for far too long.
