Dr. Nana Yaw Boakye is a medical doctor by profession and an aspiring member of parliament on the ticket of the NPP in the Asokwa constituency. She has promised to produce medical officers when voted for as a member of Parliament.
Asokwa constituency within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is currently experiencing a critical situation in deciding whom to select to lead the party in the constituency.
Dr. Boakye is seeking to unseat incumbent parliamentarian Hon. Patricia Appiagyei, who is seeking to be re-elected for the fourth time in the constituency, as he comes with brilliant ideas and a new vision for constituents.
Speaking exclusively on the Oyerepa Breakfast show with Nana Yaw Mensah Joel on Wednesday morning, the aspiring MP stated clearly that he has always loved the idea and vision of the Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, who happens to be a role model to him in the political arena.
“Look, I have seen Dr. Adutwum giving scholarships and offering opportunities for students to study in the country and abroad to produce a number of medical doctors and engineers in the constituency, and that is exactly what I want to do for my constituency,” he said.
He explained that he has a new vision of producing hundreds of medical officers, engineers, and professors with the aim of developing human resources in the constituency.
“I have this new vision for my people at Asokwa constituency… I have always loved this idea of Dr. Adutwum producing a number of engineers and other professionals in my constituency too,” he disclosed.
Adding to that, this is something that is going to have a huge impact on the constituency if only his people will vote for him as the next member of parliament for Asokwa.
However, he reiterated that he is fully committed to helping bring development and unity into the party in the constituency to help in breaking the eight with Dr. Bawumia.
