Prophet Fire Oja, founder of the Holiness of Christ Zion Ministry, has stood by his call for government to provide transport assistance to prophets, explaining that he no longer owns a personal vehicle.
The preacher revealed that he sold his Range Rover to purchase land for his ministry, making it difficult for him to travel long distances without support.
His comments follow public criticism over his earlier suggestion that government should provide prophets with cars and fuel allowances if they are required to submit their prophecies in person to the Jubilee House.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo, Prophet Fire Oja argued that not all prophets can afford to travel to the presidency to deliver spiritual messages.
Addressing the backlash in a separate interview with Joy Prime on August 12, 2025, he maintained there was nothing wrong with his position, insisting that his request was reasonable given the circumstances.
“Yes, I said it, and I don’t think there is anything wrong with it. I don’t have a car. It’s not only me; we have a lot of prophets and men of God who don’t have a car. If they want to deliver the message, they have to give us fuel so we can deliver the message to them,” he explained.
When asked about a black Range Rover with a customised number plate that he was once seen driving, the prophet confirmed he used to own the vehicle but sold it two years ago to purchase land for God’s work.
“Yes, it is true. Last two years, but it’s not there anymore because I sold it out to buy land for God,” he added.
