Member of Parliament (MP) for Suame Constituency who doubles as Majority Leader in Parliament Mr Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has raised concerns about his Presidential ambition.
It could be recalled that several big names in the New Patriotic Party such as Dr. Bawumia, Mr Allan Kyeremateng, Mr Afiriyie Akoto among others have allegedly popped up to be keenly interested in contesting for the party’s flagbearership in 2024 of which Mr Osei Kyei Mensah is not an exemption.
Commenting on the numerous speculations that suggest he wants to be presidential candidate for the party in 2024, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs said he is competent for the position.
“I qualify to be a presidential candidate, I have the competence.” He declared on Oyerepa TV morning show OBT Agenda on Tuesday, October 5.
The majority leader explained however that, he has not decided his presidential ambition. According to him, it will be too early to make such a decision.
“I’ve not decided on my Presidential ambition, the time isn’t due…. But I have the competence.” Mr Kyei Mensah declared.
