Man in his early 40s name known as Aminu Musah has been apprehended by the Ashanti Regional Police command at Adum.
The man was arrested in relation to his wife’s accusation that he has defiled or fingered their 6-month-old daughter.
Narrating what lead to his arrest on Oyerepa Afutuo Monday, the wife (Salamatu Musah) of the suspect (Musah) said she lives together with her husband at Kenyase- Abirem in the Ashanti region.
Her 6-month-old daughter was having some pains at her private part and later found out that someone has slept with her. She saw sperms at the baby’s private part.
“I woke up one dawn and saw my baby panting when I checked on her, I saw sperms her private part,” she narrated.
She informed the husband to transport the baby to hospital but he insisted they should go for herbal medicine.
She however took the baby to hospital where “a doctor confirmed that someone has slept or fingered my daughter and she has lost her virginity.”
“The doctor advised that we should install a CCT camera to help us grab the suspect but somebody destroyed the camera connections”.
For this reason, she suspected the husband was behind the unscrupulous act. Salamatu asked her husband about the case but he denied doing it.
She, therefore, reported the case to Oyerepa Afutuo where the man was invited to the show but he denied the allegation.
The prime suspect was arrested at the premises of Oyerepa radio right after the show.
He is in police custody to assist in investigations.
