The National Elections Security Task Force led by Dr. George Akufo Dampare IGP, has introduced an informant reward system as part of its strategy to ensure a violence-free election on December 7th.
The initiative aims to encourage the general public to share information with the task force’s intelligence unit to prevent any unforeseen occurrences.
At a meeting with University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) ahead of December elections, the Inspector General of Police urged individuals with information to call the toll-free number 0800311311, where an intelligent team is on standby to receive tips.
Chairman of the Elections Security Task Force, Dr. George Akufo Dampare, has assured that the task force has deployed officers working around the clock to gather and act on intelligence proactively.
The task force is using its intelligence personnel to gather information and identify potential troublemakers who may disturb the peace.
The introduction of the informant reward system is a significant step towards ensuring a peaceful and secure election environment.
