Some irate youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Offinso South Constituency are up in arms against the constituency party executives over the embezzlement of fertilizer belonging to farmers.
According to them, the party executives have connived with the just past Municipal Chief Executive of Offinso South, Kingsley Owusu Appiah, to loot and share some 1,000 bags of fertilizers meant for the farmers.
The youth say they will not relent in their agitation, no matter the amount of intimidation and threats of arrest by the party executives, until the fertilizer is refunded and used for the intended purpose.
The fertilizer in question was intercepted after the elections at the former MCE’s residence.
“We later heard that some of our party executives in the Offinso South Constituency have gone to the MCE for their share. We are hereby telling them to refund them all or face our wrath,” they said.
“No party executives will be allowed to steal government properties in this constituency.”
