A renowned herbal practitioner, Dr. Apostle Samuel Amagashie, has issued a caution to Ghanaians regarding the popular ‘doggy’ sex position, claiming it poses serious health risks, including the potential to trigger stroke in both men and women.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Ansah, Dr. Amagashie, who is the CEO of Amagashie Herbal and Spiritual Clinic, emphasised that certain sexual positions, especially those that put excessive strain on the body, can have dire consequences on one’s health.
He specifically highlighted the ‘doggy’ style as a high-risk position that may increase the likelihood of stroke during or after intercourse.
He urged married couples and people in relationships to explore safer alternatives when engaging in sexual activity and avoid positions that exert undue pressure on the heart and body.
Dr. Amagashie also called on the Ministry of Health and the Government of Ghana to establish a National Herbal Training Centre. According to him, such a facility will help educate Ghanaians on the effective use of herbal medicine for treating various illnesses and promote the sustainability and growth of traditional medicine in the country.
He believes that with proper training and awareness, herbal remedies can play a vital role in improving public health and reducing dependence on conventional drugs.
