Controversial Ghanaian public figure and awards organiser, Dr Kwame Owusu Fordjour, widely known as Dr UN, has showered glowing praise on the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, describing him as the best-performing minister in Ghana and West Africa.

In an interview with Oman Ghana TV, Dr UN commended Dr Amoakohene for his hands-on leadership, responsiveness to the concerns of citizens, and commitment to development across the Ashanti Region.

“I’m a researcher, and if we’re rating government ministers in Ghana today, he is number one now. With performance, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, is number one in the whole of West Africa.” Dr UN stated.

According to him, the Minister’s approach to leadership sets him apart from his peers, as he constantly engages with the public and ensures their voices are heard in governance.

“He is the only minister who relates to the stories of his territory that are practical to the people. When you go to social media, you will find him there taking the public views and responding to problems of the region,” he explained.

He further applauded Dr Amoakohene’s ability to operate as a true regional leader who understands and serves the needs of his people.

“If you go to the various sectors, he has shown that he is more or less like the President or a governor, and that’s how we want a minister to be. He’s not like that minister who will send the people away or the one who couldn’t mobilise his people for development,” Dr UN noted.

Assessing his overall performance, Dr UN gave the Minister a 70% rating since assuming office, citing widespread positive feedback from residents across the region.

“Right now, Dr Frank Amoakohene is at 70% if I’m to rate him since he assumed office. I move around the Ashanti Region every day, and the various conversations around Amoakohene are positive. There is nowhere I hear partisan politics about him in the development of the Ashanti Region,” he said.
