Kojo Bamba will help NPP protect ballots in 2028 – Atwima Kwanwoma MP

Atwima Kwanwoma Member of Parliament Kofi Amankwa Manu has expressed confidence that Kojo Bamba will help the New Patriotic Party (NPP) protect its ballots in the 2028 general elections.

He said the party needed individuals capable of safeguarding its electoral interests, citing what he described as intimidation and the use of force against some NPP parliamentary candidates during the 2024 elections.

According to the MP, the police were unable to adequately protect some party members during the polls, while some NPP MPs were allegedly forced out of electoral contests.

“The police were helpless in 2024, and some NPP MPs were muscled out of the elections. Annor Dompreh and Patrick Boamah almost lost their seats in the 9th Parliament because of the NDC machoism. So Kojo Bamba will help the NPP protect its ballots in the 2028 elections,” he said during a conversation with Kwesi Parker Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time

Mr Amankwa Manu’s comments suggest that the NPP must strengthen its election-day security and ballot protection arrangements ahead of the next general elections.

The 2028 elections are expected to be another major contest between the NPP and the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
