“This is not entertainment” — MC Yaa Yeboah reacts to 12-Year-Old Adobea’s alcohol video
Media personality and broadcaster MC Yaa Yeboah has called for an investigation into a viral video allegedly showing 12-year-old content creator Adobea drinking alcohol at a pub.
The footage, which began circulating online on September 1, 2026, reportedly shows Adobea at a drinking spot with a woman believed to be her caretaker. In the video, the young content creator appears to drink Smirnoff while dancing to music.
The footage has triggered concern on social media, with questions being raised about the circumstances under which a child was allegedly allowed to consume alcohol in a public setting.
Reacting to the controversy, MC Yaa Yeboah urged authorities to establish the facts surrounding the video, stressing that the matter should not be brushed aside if the child’s age and the circumstances depicted are confirmed.
“If the age and circumstances surrounding the video are confirmed, this should not be dismissed as mere entertainment, content creation, or a social-media stunt,” she said.
MC Yaa Yeboah noted that Adobea’s mature appearance and mannerisms should not obscure the fact that she is still a child undergoing important stages of development.
“At 12 years old, a child is still at a critical stage of physical, emotional, and psychological development. Allowing or encouraging a minor to consume alcohol, particularly in a public drinking environment, raises important questions about supervision, safeguarding, and the responsibility of the adults around that child,” she added.
She consequently appealed to the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection to intervene and investigate the circumstances surrounding the footage.
The controversy has consequently shifted attention from the content itself to the responsibility of adults supervising young creators, with calls growing for child protection concerns to be taken seriously whenever minors feature in potentially harmful social-media content.
