St. Michael’s Specialist Hospital in Lapaz has launched the “Sarpong Dialysis Unit” and Eye Clinic to address the growing challenge of kidney disease amidst rising cases in the country.
Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, the Board member of St. Michael’s Specialist Hospital emphasized that kidney disease continues to be a serious public health concern, with dialysis being a matter of life and death for many patients.
According to him, the availability of basic dialysis machines will significantly improve access to life-saving treatment, reduce the burden on patients and their families, and enhance the hospital’s capacity to serve the community.
