Dancehall artiste and entrepreneur Shatta Wale has urged Ghanaian youth to rally behind the administration of President John Dramani Mahama, citing promising opportunities for economic empowerment.

Speaking during a performance at the 2025 President’s Cup held at the Accra Sports Stadium on July 6, Shatta Wale expressed strong support for the government’s policies aimed at improving the lives of young people.

He noted that the Mahama-led government has several initiatives in place that, if supported, could “put money in the pockets” of the youth. According to him, collective support from the younger generation is crucial for the success of these programs, which in turn would directly benefit them financially.

“From now till the next election support this government. If you are a youth and you want to see money in your pocket then support this government because it has come to put money in your pocket,” he said.

In a separate post shared via social media he said “The man who rewards your hard work with a smile and can also terminate your contract if you don’t deliver.Good evening Mr. President. We’re grateful for your commitment to empowering the youth and making us part of your vision”.
