A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, has voiced his concern over the lack of unity in Ghana, even after 68 years of independence.
He believes that the country’s challenges stem from prioritizing political party loyalty over national interest, which has left Ghana in a distressing state.
Chairman Coka was addressing the government’s decision to dismiss Ghanaians who were employed after December 7, 2024, due to their alleged affiliation with the opposition NPP.
Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Chairman Coka, expressed his views in a social media post, emphasizing the need for a shift in mindset.
According to him, it is time for Ghanaians to stop losing their jobs based on political transitions and to prioritize national progress over party politics.
“Ghana is 68 years old, yet when governments change, some Ghanaian workers’ appointments are terminated because our love for political parties is greater than our love for our country, Ghana. 68 years after independence, and we are still not united. Rest well, forefathers of our country. May we always remember Ghana in our prayers. Coka, I care.”
